That’s why Ayurveda Master Dipu has chosen our resort to guide you along his Ayurvedic awareness pathway.
Here our team trains guests to become more aware of our perceptions, to pay closer attention to what we feel and what is happening in our body, helping us get rid of stress-related reflexes and bad habits.
Ayurveda is an ancient Indian medical philosophy. This Sanskrit word means “Science of life”. It’s the medicine of wellbeing and daily living: by working on lifestyles, health and nutrition, it helps us rediscover and preserve our wellbeing.
In Ayurveda, the human body and the universe are thought to be made of prana, the primary energy found in the five elements: ether, air, fire, water and earth. Doshas are the principles that express how these elements work within the body, controlling its functions. The elements and doshas act differently in each person at any given moment, as everything flows and constantly changes. That’s why it takes the expert observation of an Ayurveda master to create a daily routine and nutrition plan that will suit each person at a particular moment.
The programme combines the knowledge of Ayurveda with scientific rigour, including a personalised nutrition plan based on observations of each guest and Indian
culinary traditions.
It focuses on fresh, local, seasonal produce to reap the benefits of each foodstuff.
We use local foods and herbs, following Ayurvedic principles to boost their effects. Our chefs recreate traditional Ayurvedic and Indian recipes using first-class ingredients widely available in Italy and Europe.
The Ayurvedic Programme at Fonteverde stems from a partnership between Master Kuldeepak Singh Settembre Kathait, better known as Dipu, and the resort’s team of specialists.
Born in a Himalayan village, Dipu graduated in Economics from Bombay University before embarking on his studies of traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Using his knowledge, he worked in a paediatric department at Canton Hospital, China, before travelling to Europe and beginning his career as a therapist, trainer and proven expert with decades of experience.
